Welcome to Paradise Island !

The Tampa bay region of Florida is one of the United States' most popular retirement areas. Warmed by the region's semitropical climate, and populated by three dynamic metro markets, and numerous vacation attractions and retirement opportunities; many people come for the fun, but stay for the sun.

Largo is right in the heart of this vibrant area, and Paradise Island is a quiet, verdant oasis that allows its residents ample opportunity for relaxation, but is within easy reach of a widely varied matrix of cultural, economic, and social activity. All neighborhoods here are fully endowed with underground utilities, street lighting, curbs, sidewalks, street signs, and other amenities that promote the convenience and safety of the residents. Everywhere there is a profusion of trees and ornamental plants creating a lush tropical garden atmosphere.

The busy hub of recreational and social life here, is the Community Center. The Paradise Island Homeowner's Assoc. has a large, centrally located facility in the park that sponsors numerous activities all month long.
A typical month's offerings include: water aerobics, Billiards, Broadway musicals, Pinochle, Crafts, Bingo, Line dancing, Dinners, social events, Golf, Darts, Bowling, Pot lucks, and the always popular, Shuffleboard. There are numerous specialty clubs with their own events and agenda's as well. And let's not forget the very large swimming pool and the warm water Spa for aquatic enthusiasts.
The Park's cable channel 7 keeps you informed of all current events as well as the monthly park magazine and other outreach efforts help keep everyone apprised of the latest information. Just outside the park is the great Largo Cultural center and Library, in which the city has invested more than 100 millon dollars recently. See the lifestyle page for more on our area. Health concerns can often be alleviated by the nationally recognized, Largo Medical Center.
